If you are looking for one of the easiest nail growth hacks, that will only take around 5 minutes of your day, then this is it.
In this article, I’d like to introduce and show you a simple, easy, cheap DIY method and strategy that will enable you to grow your nails at a much faster rate!
What I will be teaching you is how to make a natural Growth Serum that works insanely well to grow your nails long, strong and healthy.
This is one of my favorite go to methods that I instantly turn to whenever I am looking to grow my natural nails out.
It is also one of those insider tricks, that a lot of my colleagues at the Salon admit to doing at home on their own nails!
So without further ado, lets get straight into it!
How To Grow Nails Faster In 5 Minutes
The best part of this DIY Nail Growth Strategy, is that it only takes around 5 minutes of your time every day. Equally, the Nail Growth Serum is incredibly easy, simple and cheap to make!
You only need three natural ingredients for the Serum, but make sure you keep reading this article to the very end because I will also teach you a great method with one of those three ingredients that you will need to do for this strategy to work properly.
The first ingredient required for the Serum is Lemon.
A single Lemon that you can pick up the Grocery store will work just fine (it doesn’t need to be Organic!)
What you actually need from this Lemon is the juice – and I find that purchasing a single lemon and then juicing it is better. Firstly its a lot cheaper way than buying the juice already squeezed, and secondly the juice is more fresh and typically stronger. (You can buy the bottle though in the interest of time – it does still work well).
Lemons have high levels of vitamin C and antioxidants which work to facilitate nail growth. They’re also great for removing any discoloring or signs of yellowness that you may have on your natural nails.
Once you’ve managed to squeezed the juice out of a lemon (half a lemon should suffice) into a large bowl, it’s time for the second ingredient.
This is pure Olive Oil.
I like to use this Organic Olive Oil because it is premium quality and I find that it doesn’t oxidize in the bottle over time (like the majority of cheaper Olive Oil does – meaning you have to throw it away!)
You’re going to want to add around two tablespoons of Olive Oil into the bowl and be sure to mix it all in.
Olive oil provides great hydration and nourishment. You are going to want to work with a good quality Olive Oil and not another cheap cooking oil, because Olive Oil is unique in what it is made up of.
Olive Oil has high amounts of vitamin E which will help facilitate blood circulation
and the moisturizing of your nails and cuticles.
This is exactly what you want to achieve if you are looking to grow your nails long and strong.
Now last but definitely not least is Garlic.
This is the third ingredient which adds natural and essential components to the serum. Garlic, is rich in a special mineral called Selenium.
Selenium is what you body uses and utilizes for growth, so this will really help your nail grow. Beyond just the Selenium, Garlic is renowned for having a high antioxidants count. This will further support and help reduce any signs of nail brittleness.
So take your Garlic, smash it first, because this will help you peel it easier.Just use your fist to push down on the clove and you’ll notice it is much easier to peel.
Now, you just need to chop it relatively finely (still in chunks) but imagine that you are cutting the garlic clove into tenths.
Something I have picked up on is that by smashing the garlic clove a
second time, the minerals and properties of the Garlic are distributed better. When I’ve done this on seperate occasions I always seem to get better results when the Garlic is smashed a second time; supporting my hypothesis!
When your garlic is all chopped, you just need to add it to your bowl that should have the Lemon Juice and Olive Oil already mixed.
Once you add the Garlic slices to the Nail Growth Serum, you are going to need to stir the mixture around to ensure all the ingredients act synergistically. You are also going to want to let it sit for at least an hour before you go onto the application because this ensures the ingredients infuse together and work as intended.
This next step is a really effective and simple hack; you are going to want to take a little piece of the remaining garlic clove and really rub it into your nails.
You want to rub it all over your nail, particularly on the cuticle area and underneath the nail if you can.
Ensure that the properties of the Garlic are able to soak in to your nails and do not be afraid to apply some force and pressure. This will hel your nails grow and
strengthen so you are going to want to massage the Garlic on each and every nail.
It is now time for the Nail Serum Growth Soak!
So what you are going to need to do is place your fingers into the bowl of natural nail growth serum that you have previously created and let sit.
You are going to want to set a timer before, or have access to a clock. This is because you want to soak your nails (one hand at a time) for at least 5 minutes in the mixture.
You can actually extend this to 10 minutes or even 15 minutes. Whilst 5 minutes is usually enough, any extra time you can give to the soaking is going to be most effective.
Ultimately you need enough time for the mixture to penetrate your nails and soak into the root of your nail bed and cuticles.
With this mixture, your nails are going to grow very rapidly. A nice extra bonus is that they will strengthen at the same time.
Now, you are going to want to do this every single day for at least one week for optimal results!
Alternatively, if this is not possible or doesn’t fit with your schedule, make sure that you undertake this method at least 7 times over the course of the week (some days you may have to do it twice!)
Just remember, each time you do it you want to be soaking your nails for 5 minutes at a time.
If you have a large enough bowl, you can make more of the mixture (doubling the quantities, so 1 squeezed lemon, 4 tablespoons of Olive Oil and 2 cloves of Garlic). This way you can do both of your hands at the same time.
I personally like to do one hand at a time because then I’m not completely useless!
A great tip is to stir your nails around in the mixture and then rub it into your
fingers. This way you can gently hydrate, moisturize and massage your hands at the same time.
Another great tip in saving time is to create the mixture in advance and leave it in the fridge once you are finished. This will prevent you from having to create the Serum each and every day, and you can simply pull it out and soak your nails in under 5 minutes each day.
Now it’s time to rinse. You want to do a really good job rinsing it all
off because you don’t want your hands to smell of Garlic. Trust me this isn’t a nice smell to have!
To remove the smell entirely, I like to use a nice foaming light hand wash that’s not harsh on the skin but still smells amazing.
Take your time to rinse the mixture off your hands. You are going to want to really dry your nails and hands after.
And that’s it!
This Natural Nail Growth Serum works exceptionally well. By doing this every day for 7 days you’re going to see the most amazing results!
I’m actually pretty excited for you to try this; I remember how blown away I was the first time I ever did it.
My best advice is to take some time on it, and to try and replicate the way that I have described and outlined above.
