If you believe your nails are in good health but just want to speed up the process, then the following natural method will improve the health and strength of your nails, focusing on improving your nails environment, and providing the elements they need. So regardless of whether you are seeking to increase the speed of growth, or are just looking to replenish and aid your nails, then this method will be of use.
The best part about these methods, is that you will not need to go to a Salon to try them. Instead, you can follow along and do them right from the comfort of your own home.
This two step procedure and home remedy will help you grow your nails a lot faster. It is advised that you follow the process daily for about a week if you want effective results in just 7 days. You will see noticeable improvements doing this once daily, but you can receive better results by doing this twice a day.
What You Will Need
- Lemon/ Lemon Juice
- Head of Garlic
- Small Bowl
- Coconut Oil
The first ingredient which you will need for the first part of the process is Lemon Juice. You can either squeeze two lemons into a clean bowel, or alternatively you can go ahead and used pre-squeezed Lemon Juice. Either way is fine – but purchasing some Lemon Juice will save you a lot of time and will actually be a lot more cost effective over the course of the week.
The next ingredient which you need is two cloves of chopped garlic. Start by taking a Head of Garlic and removing two individual cloves. Peel away the purple casing and using a sharp knife to finely chop the garlic into small pieces. Alternatively, you can always crush the garlic using a garlic clove in a crusher and pressing.
Now similarly, you can buy already crushed garlic (in a paste). If this is not available, or you cannot find this in your local Grocery Store, then make this yourself using the above process.
Now, place the garlic in the lemon juice and mix them together. Leave the mixture for about five minutes so that the two ingredients can infuse.
After 5 minutes soak your nails in the garlic lemon mixture for about 10 minutes.
The health and quality of your nails will improve due to the antioxidants that are abundant in the Lemon Juice. It further helps the appearance of your nails, whilst helping them to grow stronger and faster.
A further benefit to the Lemon Juice, is that it also helps exfoliate the Cuticle and assists the nail in looking smoother.
Thankfully, because of the citric acid, you will notice that the smell of garlic is concealed and neutralized so that it is no longer offensive.
After 10 minutes, take out your nails from the Lemon Garlic mixture.
Take a clove from the Head of Garlic, unwrap the purple shell, and rub the garlic on your Cuticles.
Garlic is great for nails because it is high in selenium, and Selenium is critical for your Nail Growth. When your body lacks selenium you tend to have weaker nails, so this is a really effective way to get this desired nutrient directly to where you need it.
moreover, Garlic contains many different vitamin and minerals and has strong antioxidant benefits to promote
cellular growth and health. It has antibacterial anti-fungal and antiviral properties which will help t remove any lingering bacteria from the surface of your nails (which may be preventing their growth).
Once you have massaged your cuticles with Garlic (to provide your nails with the Vitamins and Minerals and to remove any bacteria and fungus), the last thing you will need to do is to massage your cuticles with Coconut Oil.
Coconut Oil helps to moisturize not only the Nails themselves, but also the skin around the nails.
It penetrates deeply into the skin and nails to provide nourishment and it improves blood flow so that
extra nutrients and oxygen can be brought to the nails. This will help to promote growth, cells can be repaired and strengthened and your cuticles will remain soft.
The extra moisture adds strength and prevents your nails from peeling. This will ensure that they do not break and snap, causing your hard work and effort in growing your nails to go to waste.
After massaging your cuticles and nails, it is best to soak your nails in Coconut Oil for about 5 minutes. After this time is up, wipe them dry.
Wash and dry your hands in luke-warm water and a gentle soap. To finish off and to really provide your nails with the environment that they need to thrive and grow out quickly, I recommend that you finish off by applying a high-quality natural Cuticle Oil This will help to provide the essential oils that your nails need and will provide the perfect environment alongside the other steps outlined above.
By following these simple yet effective steps with natural and easy to obtain items, in about a week, you will notice significant improvement to the look, feel, strength and length of your nails.
This is an ideal Home Remedy, that you can simply start today and hopefully straight away (and you will most likely have these items lying around your home).
It works best when you follow the steps in the early morning (at the start of your day before you leave for work) and at the end of your day before you go to bed.
However, if you really want to fasten your results, or you do not want to go through the hassle of getting the items, and all of the steps above ( and doing them all twice a day for 7 days), than a far easier solution is by applying an effective Nail Growth Serum daily.
Nail Growth Serums are advanced formulations that include all the active ingredients required for your nails to grow (including extra powerhouses like Vitamin E). In my experience as a certified Nail Technician and working in a Salon for over a decade, this is my go-to solution.
