Sally Hansen Insta Dry Top Coat Review

Are you in the market for a new top coat? Are you considering Sally Hansen Insta Dry? Well you’ll be pleased you stopped by.

Today, I am going to be taking a closer look at the product in this Sally Hansen Insta Dry Top Coat Review, and will help provide all the information you need to come to a decision as to if its right, or the best option, for you.

And you’ll be pleased you checked.

You’ll soon see why.

But topcoat is such an important product for sealing in your nails and keeping a manicure well protected and fresh, so you are going to want to ensure you go for the right brand.

Even if Sally Hansen is usually reputable.

But.

Having used this top coat for some time, I would like to share my thoughts and opinions.

And most interesting, it is not the brand I would recommend.

Kur Top Coat

Sally Hansen Insta Dry Top Coat – Quick Verdict

Sally Hansen Insta Dry Top Coat is a useful, affordable product, but in my opinion and experience, it doesn’t quite match the quality of Kur Flash Dry Top Coat.

I prefer Kur Topcoat for its improved durability, longevity, ease of application and coverage.

What Does Sally Hansen Insta Dry Top Coat Do?

Sally Hansen Insta Dry Top Coat is a clear acrylic polymer complex that helps to protect your nails, prevent chipping (of polish), nail color discoloration and helps to provide shine.

In short, it is applied to help seal in color and extend the wear of your manicure.

And as the name suggests, it aims to do so in as little as 30 seconds- 1 minute after being applied.

How Do You Use Sally Hansen Insta Dry Top Coat?

To use Sally Hansen Insta Dry Top Coat you first need to apply your nail polish and wait for between 2-5 minutes for it to dry.

From there, you apply one layer of Sally Hansen Insta Dry top coat.

Again, wait for 1-2 minutes, ensuring the top coat has sufficient time to dry.

From there, it’s applied and should protect your nails from that moment forward.

What Is Sally Hansen Insta Dry Top Coat Made Of (The Ingredients)

Sally Hansen Insta Dry Top Coat is made of a combination of chemical compounds, plant extracts and other fibers/polymers.

Full ingredient list: Ethyl acetate, alcohol denat., butyl acetate, cellulose acetate butyrate, acrylates copolymer, trimethyl pentanyl diisobutyrate, sucrose benzoate, triphenyl phosphate, nitrocellulose, etocrylene, isopropyl alcohol, benzophenone-1, dimethicone, tocopheryl acetate, lavandula angustifolia (lavender) flower/leaf/stem extract, ppg- 2 dimethicone, saccharide isomerate, carthamus tinctorius (safflower) seed oil, algae extract, d&c violet no. 2 (ci 60725).

My Experience With Sally Hansen Insta Dry Top Coat

I’ve used Sally Hansen Insta Dry Top Coat on several different occasions over the years, for it is a cost-effective top coat that can be found in most stores or online outlets.

Though, I have found that it doesn’t appear to dry as quickly as the product packaging suggests.

I also have found that manicures have stilled chipped, even within the first few days of wear.

So for me, it fails on two of the basic fronts: dry-time and chipping which are two fundamental reasons why you would buy and use the product.

Consider that if the top coat has not properly dried, your nail polish will likely smudge.

Other customers have also reported that unless you meticulously close the lid, it is susceptible to drying out and developing into a thick, goopy consistency.

The Verdict

Sally Hansen Insta Dry Top Coat is a relatively good budget option if you are looking for a convenient top coat.

Most users find that it provides them with an extended manicure, though at least in my experience, I find that it’s a bit hit and miss.

As such, I actually spent some time reviewing other brands, and I have in turn found another brand that I find to be much more effective.

For me, I wouldn’t look any further than Kur Flash Dry Top Coat.

It spreads evenly and dries almost instantly – plus, I find it covers nails better and is much more chip-resistant.

Plus, I love all the benefits of ordering through LondonTown, such as the ability to pay in various different ways and even in installments!

The fact that they have a clean commitment and sustainability pledge are also other reasons to go through this brand – you can trust in their product line that doesn’t use harsh chemicals, that could harm your nails or health, either!

So, my recommendation to you; go with Kur.

Well it as it least, the top coat I use.

It’s a product I’ve come to not live without.

In short, it does everything that Sally Hansen Insta Dry Top Coat promises, arguably better (or absolutely as as well), and you’ll benefit from other perks by going through the brand.

Kur Fast Drying Topcoat – My Preferred Alternative

You won’t get much better in a topcoat than this.

Plus it’s formulated without: Formaldehyde, Toulene, DBP, Camphor, Ethyl Tosylamide, Acetone, Xylene, TPHP, or Formaldehyde Resin and is Vegan and cruelty-free!
