Cuticle Oils
Cuticle Oils are a moisturizing product for your nail beds and cuticles.
They work by hydrating and preventing moisture from being lost.
The Best Cuticle Oils contain a synergistic blend of Essential Oils, Vitamins, and Minerals which have a regenerative and strengthening effect.
The known benefits of applying Cuticle Oil regularly include the ability to increase circulation to your nails, stimulating nail growth.
It also helps to protect your nails and cuticles from any potential trauma.
Whilst the oil works on the health of your nails, it also works on their appearance.
If you like to paint your nails, it also helps protect your polish from chipping/peeling.
Julep Cuticle Oil contains a natural blend of helpful ingredients, with no harsh chemicals that can cause problems further down the line.
Jojoba Oil and Almond Oils are highly regarded for their ability to reduce localized inflammation, protect the surface area, soften, and fight off any infections or fungus.
Testing
When I test nail products, I always like to give them at least a week before I start to assess their results.
I also like to follow the instructions that are included in the packaging.
Finally, to make it’s a fair test – I only use one product at a time and do not add any other variables to the mix that could confuse the results.
For this product, they recommend that you apply some Cuticle Oil at least once a day for a week.
If you like to work with Acetone Nail Polish Remover, they also advise that you apply some after you use it.
It’s very easy to use, the bottle comes with a simple “roll-on” applicator that you simply roll over each of your nails and cuticles.
My Results
My nails have really improved over the course of just one week.
Considering that I didn’t push, clip or file them, I saw a noticeable and visible improvement.
My cuticles feel soft and conditioned and my nails have also strengthened. I am starting to see new growth that has been stimulated via this oil.
I also love the scent of this Cuticle Oil, unlike many others. Whist, it is strong, it has a sweet Lavender smell.
Due to the blend of Essential Oils, Julep even recommends that this product doubles up as an Aromatherapy product too!
All you need to do is place a little in your hands, cup them, place them near your face and take a few deep breaths. It’s actually a really calming and lovely thing to do.
Lavender is one of the Essential Oils included.
It’s very calming and is often used for sleep. This is therefore a great product to apply just before you go to bed. You can even set up a little nighttime routine as I have!
Another use for this product that comes directly from the Julep website is that you can use a small amount of the product on your finger to remove flyaway hairs.
How neat is that?
In summary, I’m very pleased with this Cuticle Oil for the price, results, and ease of use.
The roller-ball makes it really easy to apply and you do not waste a lot of the product through spillage or dripping.
It’s also a really neat and tidy bottle that is great for carrying with you on the go and that you can just throw into your bag.
Due to the applicator and bottle size, this is a terrific cuticle oil for applying regularly on the go. This is when Cuticle Oil works best -applying it little and often.
Would I Recommend this Oil and Buy it again?
Absolutely.
If you are looking for an all-natural product that works quickly then this is the product for you. You can get it on Amazon here.
There are a lot of Cuticle Oils on the market, and whilst many of them are equally as effective, I feel that Julep has really sussed the application side of things.
You will struggle to get a Cuticle Oil as well formulated as this for the price.
Ultimately, a product is only as good as it works. This product works as expected and advertised.
So if you’re in need of a Cuticle Oil, I would thoroughly recommend it.
