Are you looking for a nail file that you can use for dip nails? Then you’ve come to the right place. Today, I am going to be sharing with you my favorite nail file that I use for this type of mani.
And I won’t keep you waiting, either.
I’ll be mentioning it shortly.
And then I’ll be walking you through why I rate it so highly.
But first, here it is.
My favorite and recommended nail file for dip nails is made by DipWell and comes in a fantastic three-piece set.

What Do You Get In DipWells Buffer Set?
100/180 Grit Nail File
This is absolutely perfect for smoothing out before you need to buff.
It has two sides; one with a 100 coarse grit, the other 180 which you can use interchangeably and as and when required.
So, you’ll be able to remove bumps, free edges, and/or crevices as you encounter them.
180/280 Grit Foam Buffer
Another invaluable tool that you will also likely need.
This buffer is perfect for smoothing your nail surfaces, removing streaks, and ensuring you have a clean foundation before you move on to sealing.
Wooden Cuticle Pusher
This is what you need for pushing back your cuticles and preparing your nail surface for your dip mani!
Why I Recommend The DipWell Buffer Set
I recommend the DipWell Buffer set because you are getting a versatile nail file along with two other essential tools you are going to need for a dip manicure; all for one terrific price.
These are also fantastic quality, easy to work with, and long-lasting too.
So you can benefit from these tools time and time, or mani and mani again.
And having used all sorts of different nail files in my career, these are some further reasons why I rate these in particular so highly.
- They are professional-grade,
- They are comfortable in the hand, and easy to use.
- They work incredibly well on all nail types and shapes.
- They are a great size and store away easily.
Plus, they have over 120 5* reviews.
It’s not just me then.
Where To Buy DipWells Buffer Set

You can file down your Dip Powder Nails, so long as you use a file with an appropriate coarse grit.
Files with a grit of between 100-200 are best for Dip Powder nail files. This will allow you to safely file and shape without risking losing length or design.
